Brilliant. Wonderfully lucid. I love how Go traces the development of the discipline and integrates its history with more contemporary postcolonial, post-modern critiques.

I'm surprised to admit that I'm enjoying this book--it's definitely more accessible than Polanyi and Harvey's writings on social theory. I'd benefit from a discussion of world-systems theory, but maybe that's forthcoming.
