The first chapter talks about Zeen's graduation and the crushing disappointment he feels when he is no selected to The Testing. The chapter ends with him finding 10 year old Cia asleep clutching his Testing prep book. "After all, what harm could encouraging her dreams do?" (111). This quote is sorta funny because after reading the books you know what harm this can cause.
