I don't think I've ever been unfortunate enough to read horror-porn before, but that's all I can think of associated with this. It's not just horror, it's highly-sexualized horror, where heaping rape upon rape upon rape-that-causes-death upon rape-while-being-additionally-tortured upon mass-rape-and-human-trafficking is the way of life and order of the day. The casual way the characters go around slaughtering people they think *might* be a danger to them really doesn't help. Additionally, all of the rape victims (which is everyone considered female in the book) are referred to only as "girls", never "women", so there's an element of pedophilia to it as well, a sick glee at preying on the helpless and victim-blaming. To each their own, but this is something I just don't understand.
