Is there any way to tell the author that “pectorals” abbreviated should be “pecs” and not “pecks”?

Worried this will be a book that has a hard time moving forward. It’s a dual-pov which is fine, but it rehashes every scene from both points of view - action and dialogue - which means it’s constantly looping back.

Only 9% in and will keep plugging through, but “pecs,” please!
