She had me until the “energy medicine” woo-woo. I’m not into it, but if it works for you, good! Anything that helps relieve suffering and pain that doesn’t hurt others is a positive in my book. This however is not for me. Skipping!

Whoever wrote these guidelines had the GALL to add what medicines NOT to treat Lyme with, so that’s why the insurance companies won’t cover the usage of drugs that DO actually work when dealing with Lyme. Maybe the insurance companies had a hand in the guidelines? Usually guidelines don’t say what medicines shouldn’t be used. I can’t even.

From the Infectious Diseases Society of America guidelines. “Medications are not proven to be useful in chronic Lyme disease.” WTF?!? So if you have chronic Lyme, so sorry, here’s a shotgun and a slug, go out back?!? And is it any wonder chronic Lyme happens when they advise...

“...there is so much certainty in the current medical model that spirochete do not and cannot persist after medication has been administered. This is a common b liked communicated by medical professionals based on the constructs of the IDSA criteria.” So rather than actually LEARN about Lyme, they parrot what someone else says as truth and tell people they are crazy and it’s all in their head!

“Natural medicine can make a difference in whether a patient makes it through the treatment.” Combo of Western and natural medicine is the best. Don’t discount either side and the positives it brings to the table.

A Lyme disease vaccine existed, but was taken off the market because it affected those with a specific genetic marker. It seems the vaccine did work for those without that marker. Can they bring it back? Lyme is scary!

Ugh, as if Lyme wasn’t bad enough, nine times out of ten, there are going to be multiple co-infections along with it, as ticks are nature’s dirty needle and carry a LOT of nasty stuff! If you have Lyme, get tested for other stuff too.

I am so embarrassed and frustrated with my country sometimes. In this instance, with how backward our medical system and food system is. One, we eat basically poison and then two, expect poison in the form of medicine to fix the damage caused by the bad food we are eating. Using fever to clear out an infection is used in Europe. The patient is medically monitored, it’s safe, cheap and works. FDA in the USA says no.
