We are lucky to have a writer like Armistead Maupin in this world. Should be mandatory reading for younger LGBT generations. I laughed, cried, felt pangs of nostalgia, and been inspired. I lived in San Francisco years ago; Armistead Maupin’s books were a huge part of why I moved there. And like the Tales of the City books, this book makes me feel just a little bit like I am home.
