it is an amazing book and it interesting to see the intergenerational differences of black families growing up in the south :)

wonderful! Reading it for school, but quickly loving the story. Will let you know as I continue the journey it is taking me on!

What do ya know? I'm reading it for school too! :) I enjoyed hearing about how the various family members discuss race and their ideas about how taboo a subject it may or may not be. I was a little disenchanted with some parts of the story after I read that some of his facts about the Richardsons were proven to be incorrect.
