I now exactly how you feel. It seems like ages since I've read a book like the ones you mention! I'm not going to be much help I'm afraid as you just mentioned most of my favourites and seem to have read my other favourites like Red Rising and The Lies of Locke Lamora.

I spot you have yet to try Gardens of the Moon or The Darkness That Comes Before. Both are a little darker than the stuff you mention but both are great reads. Just keep in mind that both start a bit slow.

I assume you have already tried the ultra famous A Game of Thrones?

Not quite as awesome as the stuff you mentioned but I really enjoyed Blood's Pride, Lord of the Silver Bow, Lion of Senet, and Free the Darkness.

My sincere thanks for the response Gavin. Ive placed several of your recommendations on my TBR list. Most all of the ones I didnt shelf Ive already read. Lord of the Silver Bow has been on my radar for a long time. Ive been meaning to get to it just never gave it a chance. I think itll be the book I pick up. Thanks again!
