Household incomes can drop while individual incomes can increase. Further, the impact of identity politics has had a significant detriment on our academics and politics.

In short, left or right legislation has the potential to insulate racist business owners. But the free market will tend to punish business owners who operate their business in accordance with racist principles.

Government is a significant disrupted to markets..no surprise.
Governments are insulated from the costs incurred from racial discrimination.
Policies that negatively impacted businesses would result in racists advocating for policies that were less racist because they knew their businesses would thrive. Additionally, racists would break racist laws in order to keep their business operating.
