This book is a great read, it brings an 18th century parish and village to life.
It has pathos and gentle humour.
We follow the annual happenings of a rural parish, as reported by the parish pastor, over the 50 year period of his serving as minister.
Interesting historical language and a picture of a lost rural way of life.
