I’m so jaded and leery of bs reviews and lying authors that I’m just constant re-reading favorites that I know won’t hurt me. Authors want readers to get invested in their books, then get mad when readers feel like they’ve been betrayed. There are too many problematic males in the real world for me to deal with them in the fictional.

Literally have only been re-reading my faves recently, & going on my ratings, checking anything I’ve given 4 stars to because I can’t be asked to read a disappointing book.
There are too many problematic males in the real world for me to deal with them in the fictional. --- My thought also...

At this point my rereading list is getting bigger than my to-read list. I don't even download freebies anymore, what's the point, the moment I look up safety info, turns out everything is unsafe.
I've been rereading my favorites as well. Honestly, I haven't seen many books that I'm willing to give a try lately.
