This is getting to be a confusing slog. Van R jumps back and forth and back and forth while he is making his points, which makes it very hard to judge the veracity or coherence of those points. Also - his in-your-face "only I have the proper attitude toward the Congolese" is starting to get to me.

For an international bestseller, this Kindle book has a lot of missing words, extra words, and mispelled words that a spell check would not catch because they are real words. Also, David Van Reybrouck spends a lot of time "value signalling."
