Wait...the thing from the first book with the experiment that Warren forced Juliette to do with the child was a simulation? No child was actually hurt? Might need to go back to the first book and reread that part.

This book is already better than the first as far as the organization of the writing. (Though now that I type it, maybe that was a craft choice) It’s interesting to see parts of the last book thorough Warner’s POV.

My theory is that Warner also has a power and that’s what he was researching when he stumbled upon info about Juliette.

Warner is such an abusive ass. “I was always pushing her, toying with her emotions. I wanted to meet the real girl trapped behind the fear. I wanted her to finally break free from her own carefully constructed constraints” (38). I have a feeling the author wants me to see a soft side to Warner as he’s falling for Juliette, but when he says things like this I think it shows his true nature. Yuck.
