What a fun book. How strange the difference between Jerome and Mann. Both purport to be studies of human nature, and yet Jerome is light and absurd and somehow uplifting even when looking at our follies, where Mann is gloomy and depressing even when considering our virtues. Of the two I know which one I like best!
