Very formulaic......rich handsome successful alpha male desiring Plain Jane (woman out of his class but not a gold digging groupie). Plain Jane is damsel that needs rescuing, eventually. The angst of the story is M's weird and creepy friend. I hope I'm wrong in my pre-judgement of the story.....we'll see.
