Del makes a new friend, a cute little Winx. They are on a boat now with friends of Crimson. Del saves Crimson's life after he shrinks all of them. Hollow steers the boat towards the 18th province. Another boat of Lumens tell them they should go back it is dangerous. All lumens have already left the area. A bad storm hits.

The feldroe allow them to ride, as they go through the forest to the one and only, Great Oak, that had been planted by a Malak a long time ago, and is the wisest tree in the immense forrest. Azdia was once a realm of beauty and light, all was cared for and everything worked together. The 4 kids are there to help Azdia. Crimson almost dies shrinking the kids to grass size to save them.

Creatures: A large squirrel with a monkey's tail; a bird that moved like a hummingbird but as big as a bald eagle; a troop of cats with horns like those of goats; a cross between and elephant and giraffe, only hairier, with 3 massive antlers on top of their heads, eyes on the side and a beaklike mouth, called a Feldroe. Phil names his ride, Graymane, and enjoys it's purring.
Crimson calls Del (humans) Malaks.

Del, Guy, Phil and Sam are friends. Del, the only girl in the group likes Sam the best. They find something unusual in a churchyard hedge. The adventure begins. They are asked to take a leap of faith. Phil and Del are separated from Guy and Sam. They end up in another world, Adzia. They meet Crimson, who is a Lumen, who is able to take light and transform into other shapes, and can languages. Trees moves and glow.
