So weird. There’s been slight improvement but I still think this is going to be a 2.5 - 3 star rating. Because, at the end of the day, the story is pulled in too many directions to steadily on its own.

The parts of this that actually tackles the realities of addiction — both what someone who is addicted experiences and what the people around them experience — are handled really well handled. I just wish the whole Lochness blah blah hadn’t eaten up quite so much of this book
