Something that I really appreciate about this book is how writer wrote Inspector's character, usually these kinds of character, with smart leads, get shown in the back even made less smart, sometimes even look stupid compared to smart main character but no to Inspector Treadles, he is such smart character that pays attention and tries to read people, look at how they react. And his love for his wife is TRUE LOVE.
