I'm not sure what I expected, but I didn't expect a gorgeously written tale of the supernatural. I love it! Russell's diction is brilliant, it reminds me of the careful word choice that South American stylists practice.

This story is so goddamn dark. I was expecting a magical-realist romp through Florida's coastal islands but all I got was despair. I was as led on into believing in a fantasy as the protagonist.
