I know that most of the readers have said Chris is the ultimate jerk in this book. However, I just don't see it that way. He has waited so long for his mate. Yes, his expectations may have been high after years of pining, but still, give the guy a break. He feels the need to protect his family - including his mate - at all costs. Deal with it people; it's who he is!
