I probably should have looked up if this is going to be a series... I don't see how this is going to wrap up in about 100 pages. This book has had my attention from very near the beginning, but it does seem like things went from happening kind of slowly.... to VERY fast. Just a little weird. Still enjoying :P

good so far! There seems to be more focus on the 'West' so I'm not very invested in Tané quite yet - though once I get into her chapters I do actually enjoy them.

It's always daunting to start a brand new high-fantasy novel, and possibly a mistake to not have the physical copy so I can reference the map every 5 seconds during the info-dump phase. However... now that I've started... I know I won't be putting it down. I love how Shannon writes (Bone Season fangirl, obvs) and I can tell she's building a beautiful world that I'm going to get lost in!
