I alternate between thinking that I've made great progress with this book to feeling like I've been reading this sucker for the past 84 years.

”He taught me my alphabet in the simplest possible way by using the initial letters of every swear word- twenty-six of them took some finding, but he achieved it somehow, and warned me at the same time not to use the words in company.

Now that’s a good uncle right there 😂😂

One of the most chilling and haunting first chapters I’ve read in a long while. It makes me excited to see what the rest of this book has in store ❤️
