Overall really enjoyed. Characters going through the grief of losing a significant other isn’t my jam, so that did impact my enjoyment significantly. Flynn was an odd mix of chipper and utterly despondent. If this was a standalone I probably wouldn’t have rated it so highly, since it’s just the beginning of character connection/development. But as a start to a series it worked

This book is simultaneously creepy and adorable and I am HERE FOR IT. Also it’s an awesome pairing —a chipper (&younger) smol with a painful past and a cranky (older) giant with a secret heart of gold. Which is like... my catnip
