What I like about this kanji textbook is that it focuses on the readings or pronunciation, rather than the meaning. It uses the real components and radicals to help you learn - the list of phonetic components was the most useful part for me. I've already got much better at guessing the readings of kanji - even ones I've never seen before! Definitely recommended for serious students of Japanese.
