Stelzer's introduction so far is clearly aimed at the choir. The argument that neoconservatism has its roots in the far distant past is not convincing to a progressive. For the same reason that I don't turn to Galennic medicine when I am ill, political philosophies imagined when the horizon was also the edge of the world are anachronistic in a globally connected world.
