It is fundamentally a history, but one of a more personal kind. It's a far cry from what one imagines when confronted with the phrase "history textbook". I'm enjoying the characterization of Atlanta's power structure in the 1950's, very interesting and informative!

The intro was certainly much drier than my previous read, "Kingpin," but it promises to reveal some interesting and possibly intimate histories of Civil Rights Movement-era Atlanta that I'm sure will surprise me!
