I wondered why this went down so sneakily.

Some overly handy coincidences...though I suspect they're set-ups for something interesting...and a few malapropisms. Blessedly low on w-bombs.

That is one hard left turn.

Inconsistencies like "Pops" and "Da" and the MC not following sports then not caring about a game because his team was losing are sinking this ship for me. The iceberg, though, is the questionable knitting-together of the plot's driving forces.

I'm pretty sure I'm not gonna like the real-time narrative strategy..."the tile was cold on my bare feet as I walked naked to the warm shower I had turned on"...because it's just tedious.
