I can’t believe how goooood this book is. Utterly obsessed. Slow, disjointed build. Not enough to be offputting, maintaining enough mystique to keep me going for more more answers. Which were starting to kind of get, but not really yet. Feels like something big is just around the corner 🤞

So accidentally put in the wrong pg# for the last update. But I can’t get over how solid the prose:
“She’s trembling, a movement so slight and so comprehensive that at first he doesn’t notice. There’s no part of her that isn’t shaking. She’s an earthquake forced into the shape of a girl, and as the door swings shut behind them, he wonders whether the fault lines at the heart of her are about to give way completely.”
