Okay, REALLY not loving the casual use of a slur for the Japanese. Especially having it used by both one of the leads and by minor characters. I don’t care if it’s historically accurate — this wouldn’t have lost anything to just have characters talk about fighting the “Japanese”. (Except the appalling racism. Which I would think many other readers would want to avoid as well?)
