Our heroine is a talented artist - painter. Apparently very talented. It took Michaelangelo 4 years to paint the Sistine Chapel. In just a few weeks, our heroine painted part of a ballroom ceiling and her entire bedroom in similar style! LOL
Story is a lot of mystery/intrigue with people being manipulated for revenge and reveals more and more towards the end of the book. Pretty well paced.

Don't you hate it when book covers don't match the story period. So far this is an intriguing story. I never read the synopsis once I have the book off a book list. So imagine my surprise & disappointment to find out in the first few pages that this is in the 1600s and their are no kilted highlanders or a castle, just a modest manor. BAH!
