Maybe I should just reread THE VAMPYRE; it's much more interesting than this book, despite the multiple refs to Lord Ruthvyn that VC keeps shoehorning into it. But there's also a side character named Pepine Flan...so I can't give up yet. Not for the sake of Pepine Flan! 😱
