Reading friends, I miss you all so much! Unfortunately in September of last year, I experienced a BRUTAL mental breakdown & I have been busting tail trying to “recover”. Anxiety & depression are absolute tormentors! I am slowly but surely getting back into my reading groove, finally! What are some books you’ve read recently that you think I should check out? Hope you’ve been well! :)

Hi Heather sorry to hear about your troubles. It’s good you want to read books. I find it’s a great way to find stories that take you somewhere. I’m currently reading The Winter Sea by Susanna Kearsley. It’s a story about a writer who travels to Scotland to be close to her characters, storyline, and the history of the area. Some interesting developments happen along the way. It’s light reading and a great novel.

Glad to hear from you again, Heather.I found "The One-in-a-Million Boy"
by Monica Wood, quite charming and inspiring. A light reading.
Cheers
Welcome back! I love your honesty and transparency and wish you the best. Three of the books I’ve liked most lately is “A Woman is No Man,” “The Last Romantics,” and “Miracle Creek.” I agree with Saul- The One in a Million Boy” is also good. I always like Jenny Colgan when I want something lighter - she always has fun characters and I love the settings.
