One more thing, the author keeps switching between present perfect and perfect tense. Sometimes even in the same paragraph. It’s driving me mad. Pick one and stick with it.

My entire life I had always used the expression ‘one day at a time’ but since dealing with Ryan, I’ve realized getting through even a second at a time was a victory.

This book is tearing my heart out.

An interesting read so far, although the editing is not as it should be.
