Wow. I love this author's work. I could ignore the near-idealization of America as land of the free, equal rights, etc. I could ignore the tendency of most characters to be either smug know-it-alls or clueless scaredy cats. Sure, whatever. What I could not ignore was nearly 5 pages worth of isolating Islam as the only religion to be barely useful against the supernatural. Goddammit, it's too early for this.
