I feel like I’ve passed the point of no return but I so do not want to finish. This book just keeps getting worse.

I got this book free from an author’s email subscription. I have not read the first book.
My thoughts are:
1. These characters are hella stupid. Like I cannot follow their thought processes stupid.
2. There’s some gender role stuff that I don’t know if I can handle.
3. I know too much about football to read this.
Will I finish it? Probably. But that has more to do with my sense of obligation than this book.
