Over had this one on my "to read" list for a while. I read Artemis this year and really liked it, but everyone who I asked about the Martian said that I should wait because the mainland characters between the two books would seem too similar (even though the main character in Artemis is female ).

Interesting! This is the first book that I have read by the author. It’s very scientific which I like but the whole concept behind it is intriguing. I want to watch the movie after I finish the book.

You'll have to read Artemis too, and I'll read the Martian. We can compare notes. 😁
