I wish the author used footnotes; nonetheless, much of the most gruesome facts in this book are true, and I am extremely heartened by both this book's moral clarity but also the legal case built up against not just the Bush administration but also the Obama administration for use of torture and extraordinary rendition and failure to prosecute fucking blood-soaked, rapist war criminals.
