I like that the fairytales are intertwined. Not sure who the main romantic prospect is. Bluebeard is a brute, and Jack seems kind of sketchy to me. I accidentally looked at the spinoff series' first book before this, about Rilla's daughter or step-daughter, and the first page mentioned the MC being the child of a half-ogre father, that is married to Queen Cendrilla (b/c Cinderella retelling). So Bluebeard?
