Great book and overall a great series. I was expecting more political games in this one, though I’m glad there wasn’t many. Vect is a cruel and evil bastard but even so, you can see his methods having some speck of merit? Motley is pretty much the only voice of reason and morality in this book and also a wonderful character because Harlequins.

I’m glad we saw Vect again and also learned of his doppleganger, the Geldling. Lady Malys also made an appearance so I’m hoping that some sort of conflict happens between the two of them sooner or later.
