Sometimes I disagree greatly with the philosophy of this author. On p84 "Hold students to different standards" she argues for lowering expectations for certain students. Students get the unintended message "You aren't capable. I'll give you something easier." What are you even making that decision based on, appearances? This is so detrimental to students. Research says high teacher expectations result in learning.
