A few things about this book.
1. This is more of a collection of articles written not by Shapiro but by others in the field of ancient DNA.
2. These articles can be accessed for free on multiple platforms.
3. This is more a how to guide of ensuring that the samples are not contaminated via modern DNA.
4. This book cost me a lot of money and I am bitter that I found them for free online.

The edition of this book that I have has very annoying typos in the first couple of pages (the introduction written by Shapiro). I hope that the authors that provided their journals/research do not make mistakes with their work.

You have no idea of how excited I am to read this book! Ancient DNA is something that has interested me for years, and I am excited that I found this used and didn't have to pay hundreds of dollars for this.
It's more of a series of essays by others in the field about how to run a laboratory that specializes in ancient DNA, but it is interesting just the same.
