Learning more about an influential philosopher and Dancehall King I discovered while in Jamaica. He's got things to say about some of the cultural divide, and I want to hear more.

An incredibly thoughtful read making me question a LOT of my assumptions about what I know about the poor, the homeless, those who are raised in the ghetto, and even how migrant workers are treated in Canada. I already knew most talented musicians are brilliant, and Kartel fits the bill; he brings passion and a sense of justice to a well written and educational perspective.

A super thoughtful read by a Jamaican musician who is often misunderstood. He brings intriguing perspective to the racial challenges in Jamaica, and therefore insight to racial challenges worldwide. It can be all too easy to forget how privileged I am and how much easier my life is simply because of the shade of skin I was born with.
