A well-written if somewhat predictable novel. The mystery was non-existence with the title giving it away upon Vyle’s introduction. The Harlequins and their performance make this book good and the interplay between the Drukhari is good as well. I’m glad they confirmed Motley’s role as a Solitaire since it was implied in the trilogy but not outright stated.

Ashanthourus is an interesting troupe master. I like the titles of the members of this Masque too. High Avatar, Sun-King, Moon-Queen. Overall, pretty interesting thus far.

I’m very excited to read this. Harlequins are my obsession and even if it is a rather short novella, I’m still pumped.
