I'm going to finish this because I need it for summer book bingo (city in title) and because the writing is lyrical. I might have liked it if I'd read it a few years ago, but in 2019 I'm not in the mood for an indulgent "boys will be boys" type of fictional(ized?) memoir no matter how skillful the sentences.
