So this is being billed as a legal thriller with f/f romance. Nearly halfway through the trial set as the focal point of this book has not started and the romance in this book hasn't made it past flirty comments (yet the MC seems like she's in love).

This still doesn't remotely resemble a legal thriller, but, okay.

In other news our brilliant hero is thrown into a frenzy of guilt for eating a brownie? Oookay.

Main character- a wunderkind lawyer- expressed surprise when a witness suggests a jury in small-town Wisconsin may be a little racist. Is this some alternate 2019 where racism doesn't exist anywhere?

This is just an absolute mess.

Just want to state that, for the record, the sexist jerk lawyer is literally named Rich Smart and I... have no words.
