Reading this book has been slow going, but not because the book is slow or underserving to being gobbled up like the wonderful thing it is. Reading this has been slow going because I’ve been reading it aloud to Sophie, and I read aloud much slower than I read in my head. Also, she keeps interrupting the story with a desire to be fed, changed, or otherwise fussed over. No respect for good literature, this girl.
