A bit OOC. Very pathetic Darcy given his reason for marrying Anne. Don’t really understand why he wouldn’t marry Elizabeth - a few pages earlier he thought he’d moved past pride, but now he’s too proud and needs connections? More believable if she’d refused him a second time.

Hints throughout, but fairly sure now that G is supposed to be on the spectrum.
Also Darcy has clearly been severely traumatised from Anne’s death.

Poor Darcy really is quite pathetic in this, poor thing. It’s all done very amusingly though.
Interesting take on Wickham as a means well cock up. I like it. Gives us a baddie without any real angst.

“Besides, you have tried to get out of it repeatedly, and I don’t seem to be able to allow you to do so.” Their interactions are lovely. So much more gentle than other variations on this theme.

I love Lydia’s advice to Lizzy. Lizzy might think herself smarter, but this is one area Lydia knows her stuff!

“He already felt guilty and he hadn’t even touched her.”
This feels very Darcy.

I like Darcy’s inner dialogue. Half depressing, half amusing. Well written.
Why does he keep saying “Listen” to start sentences? It’s very irritating. Also doesn’t feel Regency - sentence structure comes off very modern.

A fresh idea of why they’re in bad circumstances. Lady C prevails for once. But where are the Gardiners? And why would Darcy then marry Anne?
I like the business minded Elizabeth & Georgie/Lyddie interactions.

Is “a tad bit” really a saying? I’ve never heard it before but it’s been in a few JAFFs. I’m guessing an Americanism. They mean the same thing here so it sounds as silly as saying “a bit bit” or “a tad tad” to me!
