This was a much better novella than the first one in the collection. The VR world seemed weird enough that I'm intrigued by it an might give a full book in this series a go one day.

The Best Quest by Andrew Novak
This was a novella set in Novak's AlterGame series. It did a good job of acting as an introduction to his fantasy world. We got the chance to glimpse both the game world and the real world. The "real" world for the characters in this story was actually an intruging post apocalytic future. The game world ended up being the most RPGey game world I've ever encountered in a LitRPG!

Throne World by Michael Atamanov
This read more like a pulp sci-fi story than a LitRPG tale but it was still a decent enough novella. I'm on the fence about Atamanov's writing but his world seemed a cool place.
Rating 3.5 stars. I'm open to giving the Perimeter Defense series a go after reading this novella.

Shamanic Rites by Vasily Mahanenko
Rating: 2 stars.
This story was not up to much but it has managed to weed Mahanenko's Way of the Shaman series off my to-read list. It was just too boring!
