Why am I doing this to myself 🫠

There’s some action, finally, we get some background history of the main character... fine, the book became readable

115 pages in: a bunch of people got on a flying ship bc a guy they work for told them to catch a creature that doesn’t exist.
The girl can talk to animals.
Literally nothing else.
What am I doing with my life

So far 3 people have walked down the street to the docks where they’re about to board a ship to go on a mission.
That’s it.
70 pages.
I want to die.

Or should I have said, there are way too many details thrown in at once for me to follow and get a clear picture of this world in my head.

Oh boy I’m struggling. The descriptions are killing me, I don’t care enough about this world yet to want to know every single detail of their history, religion, surroundings... it’s just hard to follow especially with the Japanese-like words thrown in absolutely everywhere
