“It doesn’t feel right to love the world and see such brightness when something so awful has happened. It’s like hearing gurgling babies echoing in the church at the funeral. There’s nothing more uplifting than to hear the sound of an innocent child being so happy in a place that people are sad. It reminds you that life goes on and on and on, just not for the one you’re saying good-bye to”.

Wow book’s Rosie gets on my nerves! She still hasn’t put herself first and is about time!!! The movie was made too different from the book, I’m not sure I’d have enjoyed it had it been actually similar...

I’ve finished Part 1 and there’s many differences with the film that confused me:
- There’s no Bethany
- Alex never made it to the graduation so Rosie didn’t go with him and instead went with a shitty class partner (and HE got her pregnant)
- Sally and Alex already got married (and there’s still 4 parts left of the book...)
- Rosie just met Greg (who clearly isn’t Katie’s father).

Apart from that, so far is good.
